• Development Hell: The third part of the series was here for a time.
• What Could Have Been: During the writing of Crimson Empire, it was planned that all the royal guards were clones of the same person. A shot of an unmasked Carnor Jax would reveal this to the reader, as both he and Kir Kanos would have the same exact face. This idea was eventually abandoned as details were given of Carnor Jax's history and other royal guards which would make it impossible for them to all be clones.
