• What Could Have Been:
  • Charles Hallahan was originally cast as Bilby, but died before filming started and was replace by Nick Tate. His casting had envisioned a father-son dynamic with O'Brien.
  • The original story concept was a comedy about Jake ingratiating himself with the syndicate completely accidentally and getting in way over his head. It then would have had Jake desperately trying to disentangle himself even as Quark tried to use him as a route into membership.
