Trivia / Stacy Keibler

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: Was once brought to the ring for a segment where she wore a cheerleading outfit - as she had been a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader.
  • Artist Disillusionment: The wrestling lifestyle got to her after a while and she began preparing for her departure by taking acting classes on her days off. She's outright said she wouldn't return to wrestling.
  • Contractual Purity: Has said she'll never pose nude because she wants to "leave some things to the imagination".
  • Creator Backlash: How Stacy sees her wrestling career. She has made it no secret she was only in the business to get noticed by Hollywood so she could launch her acting career. Since her departure, she has largely tried to forget she was ever there. However she did make an appearance on the 2011 Tough Enough revival, in 2019 to induct Torrie Wilson into the Hall of Fame, and getting inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame.
  • Dye Hard: She became a brunette after becoming a mother.
  • Hostility on the Set: A mild example. She and Lita got into a fight in a nightclub shortly after Stacy joined the company in 2001. The story goes that a drunk Stacy was flirting with Matt Hardy, who Lita was dating at the time, resulting in an altercation. Stacy apologised the next day, saying she had too much to drink, and they never had any other problems.
  • No-Hit Wonder: No Women's titles, not a Slammy or award of any kind to her name - and yet very fondly remembered by many later-era WCW and Ruthless Aggression Era fans. Not to the extent of Torrie Wilson, but still popular.
  • Reality Subtext: She and Torrie Wilson were portrayed as best friends when the Invasion happened. This reflects their real life friendship that had started in WCW.
  • Romance on the Set: Dated David Flair in WCW and Test while in WWE.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • "With Legs Like That" was originally written for Stacy, but she left to do Dancing with the Stars and the song was given to Maria Kanellis.
    • She was going to be pushed for the title at two separate points, but she refused both times, saying she was not a wrestler.
    • In 2002, Molly Holly's "pure and wholesome" storyline against Trish Stratus is heavily hinted to have been meant for her instead. Molly's crusade against a Ms. Fanservice did seem a bit like an Informed Flaw when it came to Trish, who had adopted more modest ring gear and dropped any overt sexuality in her matches. Stacy, meanwhile, was the bikini contest girl and had a Panty Shot as part of her entrance — not to mention having been trained by Molly in WCW.
    • In 2004, she was built up to potentially win the Women's Championship, pinning Molly no less than three times and becoming #1 contender to Trish's title at one point. She was slated to win the championship in a fanservice-themed seven-Diva Battle Royal at Taboo Tuesday, but the day of the event she told officials that the title should stay on Trish.
    • Jillian Hall claims that she and Stacy were going to feud a bit more but Stacy was asked to appear on Dancing With The Stars, so she had to be Put on a Bus. Their only match was meant for Smackdown, but got moved to Velocity for time constraints.
    • For that matter, Stacy's career in general. She didn't really want to compete in the ring herself, with Ivory noting how she dogged it during her initial training. Stacy was significantly stronger than she looked (see Muscles Are Meaningless entry on the main page), fast on her feet, skilled at taking and selling bumps with the best of them (everything from getting smashed through a table by Bubba Ray Dudley to spending over two and a half minutes being bent over backwards in the Walls of Jericho) and generated huge cheers from the crowd. One can only imagine how good Stacy might have been if she'd actually committed to being a wrestler.
