- Colbert Bump: Squimpus was largely unknown until a YouTuber by the name of VaporTheGamer reacted to one of their videos. After that, Squimp's subscriber count increased tenfold.
- Follow the Leader: Much like how ＬＯＣＡＬ５８ inspired a trend of Analog Horror YouTube series', Squimpus' FNAF VHS series has inspired many similar VHS-styled horror shorts, such as Harmony & Horror and The Walten Files, the latter of which was even recommended by Squimp themself.
- Role-Ending Misdemeanor: On March 17, 2023, Squimpus openly admitted to having groomed an underage user on Discord and apologized, but due to the apology’s negative reception, they said that they're going to be taking a break and is currently seeking help.
- What Could Have Been: The series was originally going to have three seasons, with "Animated Cartoon" being the Season 2 finale and Season 3 consisting of three episodes beginning with "Memories". However, in late April 2020, Squimpus announced that the last two episodes would be compiled into a single extra-long episode instead, and that "Memories" and the finale would both be considered an extension of Season 2 rather than their own season.
