• Ascended Extra: Zev Rose and Josh Gilbert were originally hired as a touring members, but they both ended up joining the band full-time later.
• Creative Differences: Since 2011, Mike Stringer and Courtney LaPlante had been entertaining the idea of a more artistic and personal side project while still in Iwrestledabearonce. This desire ultimately led them to leave the band in 2015 and focus on their own material. This was combined with some Artist Disillusionment as both LaPlante and Stringer had each replaced a previous member of Iwrestledabearonce, and were never comfortable with that status in the band
• Genre Savvy: The band and their manager are well aware of the potential of online streaming and distribution services, and have consciously decided to promote their material through primarily online means, touring only after years of being a digitally distributed, studio-only project.
• Multinational Team: While the band was formed in Canada, three of the full-time members are American. Courtney is from Alabama and moved to Canada as a teenager, Zev is from and currently based in New York and Josh Gilbert is from Alabama and currently based in California.
