Trivia / Spirit Hunter: NG

Go To

  • Acting for Two: A few VAs in the game pull double duty; Yuubi Midorikawa plays Kaoru and Natsumi, Taiki Yamashita plays Ban and Maruhashi, and Erika Ishitobi plays Ami and Kakuya. The latter may be a deliberate choice, given that Kakuya kidnapping Ami is the impetus of the game, and near the end of the game Kakuya possesses Ami.
  • Bonus Material: There's a novella featuring the Urashima Woman, showcasing the lead-up to when she was turned into a spirit.
  • The Cast Showoff: Seiji's VA (Tomohisa Sako) is primarily known for his singing. He gets to show it off in Seiji's optional scene in the Demon Tsukuyomi case, where he sings Momo Kuruse's "Wander Rabbits".
  • Colbert Bump: As with Spirit Hunter: Death Mark, the game received a bump in popularity thanks to ManlyBadassHero's playthrough.
  • Refitted for Sequel: The concept of amoral heroes was present in the initial stages of Death Mark, but much of it was toned down or removed for the final version of the game due to being too dark. It gets revisited in NG, with Akira and his companions forming an Anti-Hero Team of societal outcasts.
  • Uncredited Role: The voice actor for Yakumo Miroku, as well as all the spirits besides Kakuya, aren't shown in the credits.
  • What Could Have Been: In the gallery's character profiles, Seiji's best friend is stated to be "Ross", which was possibly the protagonist's default name before they settled for Akira.
