• Approval of God: The official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel seems to highly approve of the project as they've placed the first episode on their fan spotlights playlist, which is specifically dedicated to fan projects they find to be amazing.
• Descended Creator: EmuEmi takes over as the voice of Tails.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Rather than being voiced by Travis Willingham or any of his previous actors, Knuckles is instead voiced by David Humphrey, the original voice of Shadow.
  • Tikal is voiced by Kirsten Candelore instead of her original voice actress, Elara Distler.
  • As a result of a few differing factors, Mike Pollock is not set to return for the second season. His replacement is currently unknown.
• Role Reprise:
  • Ryan Drummond reprises his role as Sonic in a project for the first time in 16 years. The last project he worked on was Sonic Advance 3 in 2004.
  • The current voice actor of Eggman, Mike Pollock, also reprises his role as Eggman.
  • Lisa Ortiz, Pete Capella, and Jason Griffith reprise their respective roles as Amy Rose, Silver, and Shadow for the first time since Sonic and the Black Knight in 2009. This means both of Sonic's former voice actors from the games are together in the same production for the first time.
  • Oliver Wyman reprises his role as Big the Cat for the first time since LEGO Dimensions in 2016. Prior to that, the last time he voiced Big in a Sonic game was Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing in 2010.
  • While only in the blooper reels, Griffith also did a take of Sonic for Episode 6, with Humphrey also doing a take of Shadow.
• Sequel in Another Medium: Sonic and Tails R Plus, a webcomic drawn by Doryan Nelson that began in September 2022. Also counts as a Prequel In Another Medium, as the first chapter explains how Sonic came to learn about the attack on Tails at the start of Episode 1.
• Throw It In!: One line reading for Sonic ended up accidentally having Drummond reading the script directions, mistaking it for part of Sonic's dialogue. It ended up making the final cut of the episode.
• What Could Have Been:
  • In the Sunset City Podcast featuring her, Emi stated that Knuckles was originally going to be played by Scott Dreier, reprising his role from Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. However due to the pandemic, Scott wasn't able to finish his lines because of him having mic issues, due to him normally recording in a studio, so David Humphrey offered to fill in for him.
  • During the Sonic Revolution 2021, Doryan revealed he originally wanted to give Sonic his SOAP Shoes from Sonic Adventure 2 in Episode 6, but was scrapped due to "having way too much to focus on".
• You Sound Familiar: David Humphrey (who used to be the original voice actor for Shadow) now takes over as the voice of Knuckles.
