Trivia / Sit Down, Shut Up

Go To

  • Channel Hop: From Fox to Comedy Central (reruns) to [adult swim] (also reruns).
  • Creator Killer: This was the last new show Adelaide Productions, the animation division of Sony Pictures Television, has done; their only project afterwards were the final few seasons of The Boondocks, and since that show ended, there hasn't been anything from them at all.
  • Crossdressing Voices: Principal Sue Sezno is voiced by Kenan Thompson. Yes, that Kenan Thompson.
  • Friday Night Death Slot: The remainder of the series was dumped on Saturdays at 12AM, a time-slot where most of Fox's viewers aren't even watching.
  • Invisible Advertising: Every episode after the first four is this.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The series hasn't been seen since 2015 when Adult Swim last reran the series, and no streaming services carry it. Not helping matters are that the series is caught in rights limbo, as 20th Century Fox Television, Sony Pictures Television, and ITV Studios all produced the series.
  • Missing Episode: "Math Lab," which was originally supposed to air after "Back in Time," but due to its content (and the fact that the show wasn't bringing in the big ratings that Fox wanted it to), the show was cancelled after the fourth episode. "Math Lab" — and the other eight episodes that were supposed to air on primetime Sunday after The Simpsons — ended up airing on late Saturday night when Fox was trying to fill the void left behind when MADtv (1995) was cancelled.
    • Also, when the show aired on Comedy Central, the pilot episode and "High School Confidential" never aired.
  • Screwed by the Network: After poor reviews and viewership numbers, Fox cancelled the show four episodes in its first and only season of 13 episodes.
