  • Bonus Material: In 2018, Shunsatsu Sare Do released a thin book about Banshiryuu to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It contains a bunch of bonus information about the games, programming, and art, and gives access to a website where you can look at old covers and title screens, some of the code, and an official re-upload of VIVIT-99.
  • Development Hell: Banshiryuu was developed over a period of 5 years, with two major versions released. However, that pales in comparison to its Spiritual Successor SUPER MATE MATE LASER, which started development in 2008. There have been over twenty demos of the game, many of which are drastically different from the last, and it is still in development as of 2019.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Shuusou Gyoku, Kioh Gyoku, and the C67 version of Banshiryuu are very rare, and difficult to find. The games may appear on auction sites for about 30,000 to 80,000 yen, about $300-800. Even worse, counterfeit copies are common, and sold for the same price.
  • Sequel Gap: The Updated Re-release of Banshiryuu was released in 2008; VIVIT-99 was released in 2019, a solid eleven years later.
