• Acting for Two: Dracula and Frankenteen Sr. are both voiced by Zale Kessler, while Andre Stojka voices both Mummy Daddy and Grim Creeper. Also, Casey Kasem voiced Shaggy and his Mirror Monster counterpart.
• Adored by the Network: Cartoon Network and Boomerang loved airing this film during the early 2000s, seemingly airing both this and Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders at least once a month. Their love returned in Summer 2016 as the former would air it once a month as a weekday morning movie and the latter would constantly air it as part of Boomerang Theater.
• Children Voicing Children: The Calloway Cadets were voiced by prepubescent boys at the time.
• Dawson Casting: The main ghouls were voiced by women between their thirties and fifties at the time, even though they are supposedly school-age.
• Fandom Life Cycle: Is firmly at Stage 2, owing to its status as a Cult Classic.
• Posthumous Credit: For Marilyn Schreffler (Winnie Werewolf), who died nine months before the special aired.
• Referenced by...: The main ghouls reappear in an episode of OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes. Russi Taylor, Susan Blu, and Pat Musick all reprise their respective roles as Phantasma, Sibella, and Elsa Frankenteen. The other two girls are recast with Natalie Palamides as Winnie and Kristen Li as Tannis, due to Marilyn Schreffer's passing and Patty Maloney's retirement from acting, respectively.
