- All-Star Cast: Even the extras were established actors. Of course, established in Poland, so don't expect familiar faces if you're not an avid watcher of Polish movies.
- Sleeper Hit: The film was an unexpected box-office hit for Polish standards, especially considering it's a very, very dark tragedy of the True Art Is Angsty kind.
- Typecasting: RĂ³ża was made at the height of Marcin Dorociński's career of a war-period piece noble badass with Dark and Troubled Past. The very same year Obława came out, where he plays a well-meaning, but flawed member of La RĂ©sistance during World War II, and immediately prior he played a charming, strong and supportive Love Interest who was a State Sec agent performing a Honey Trap in Rewers, set right after the war. Also, a couple of years later, he played yet another of these in Jack Strong.
- Working Title: Rose from Mazuria
