- Creator Backlash: The band eventually ended up hating Carnival of Light, and took to calling it "Carnival of Shite".
- He Also Did: After Ride's breakup, Andy Bell went on to co-found the band Hurricane #1 before later joining Oasis as their bassist in the 2000s.
- Troubled Production: Tarantula. Prior to the recording sessions, Mark Gardener and Andy Bell had fought over the group's direction, with Mark favoring dance music and Andy favoring rock. The end result was that Mark Gardner only sang on two songs and wrote one, leaving the rest to Andy Bell. Gardener quit the band during the mixing sessions for the album; the band broke up before the album's release.
