  • LOONA's storyline involve trying to shake off a long pattern of having their successes marred by constant misfortunes. They get COVID right before the first round is to be filmed, and thus the later episodes focus on their struggle to continue in the competition despite not getting any points for the first round (which leads to the audience and their fellow competitors being impressed in the following round, with LOONA finally getting to show their skills as performers).
  • Most famously, Brave Girls were on the verge of disbanding and had a letter of resignation ready for Brave Brothers the day before going viral and breaking TWICE's PAK record. Their storyline is much the same on the show, with unappreciated performances leading to a major breakthrough.
