• Development Gag: Ben's first leap is to Philadelphia on July 13, 1985, the day of the Live Aid concerts. In the unused Bold Leap Forward TV movie script, Sammie Jo Fuller's first leap is to the same city and day.
• In Memoriam: Dean Stockwell (Al Calavicci), who passed away on November 7, 2021, 10½ months before this episode.
• What Could Have Been: The original script included three alternate cliffhanger endings, one of which had Ben leap into D.B. Cooper.
