• Abandonware: Following Parroty's closure, the game is no longer in print outside of third-party abandonware/warez sites or used copies on Ebay.
• Approval of God: While Pyst often gets a bad rap, Myst co-creator Rand Miller has said he loves it and even has a copy of it in Cyan's vault.
• What Could Have Been: There was to have been a sequel to Pyst called Driven (an obvious parody of Riven). A demo for Driven was included on the Pyst Special Edition. The game was never completed due to the dissolution of Parroty Interactive.
