• Screwed by the Network: A Secret Wish did not get the promotion it deserved from ZTT because the label was preoccupied with Frankie Goes to Hollywood, which broke unexpectedly huge around the same time.
  • The band was also involved in a lengthy legal battle with ZTT to renegotiate or get out of their contract after they learned they would never make any money from anything they recorded for the label. The band was eventually released from their contract, though Brucken stayed with ZTT for her next project, Act.
