Trivia / Project Arrhythmia

  • Approval of God: The developer Pidge regularly promotes what people create in the game's Level Editor, from reposting clips of levels people have created to using them to show off new game features.
    • The official Vitamin Games Discord server also features some emotes of characters from custom levels.
  • Ascended Fanon:
    • N-Chan, the level editor mascot, was originally created by axowotl for the fan-run tournament series PASCAL.
    • The game's four demo levels are all slightly edited versions of custom levels from the Melodical Escapism series created by Aratonati, which the developer bought rights to include in the game.
    • Half of the game's Steam launch trailer is clips of custom levels, with a list of credits at the end. The other half is the four levels mentioned above, which makes the entire launch trailer fit this.
    • Most of the screenshots on the game's Steam listing are of custom levels - some being played normally, and others while open in the level editor.
  • Dueling Works: Alongside Just Shapes & Beats, another bullet-hell about dodging geometric objects moving to the rhythm with an entirely different approach to story mode. Both games were developed without knowing about one another until later on.
  • Extremely Lengthy Creation: The earliest version of Project Arrhythmia existed as far back as 2013. The game has remained in development since, for at least ten years as of 2023.
  • Inspiration for the Work: Battle Cube by Nifflas, according to Pidge. Additionally, Soundodger's level editor partially inspired Project Arrhythmia's own. Both of these games also involve dodging attacks to the music.
  • Milestone Celebration: The "PA: Memories" series of custom levels is made up of collaborations that release on the game's anniversary, which are all mashups of the most noteworthy levels from the previous year.
