• Playing Against Type: Sarah Michelle Gellar takes on the role of Cinderella, a shallow gold-digger capable only of cooking and cleaning. This is in stark contrast to her usual roles playing badass action girls in feminist fantasies. On the other hand, she's played a Girly Bruiser more than once, so it's not like being hyper-feminine but also confident and sassy is entirely new to her.

• You Look Familiar: Alyssa Preston as both Mrs Claus and The Queen of Hearts, the only performer apart from Whitney to play more than one lead role. Some of the backing characters reappear in different roles as well.
