Have some tidbits about the 2010 version:
- Acting for Two: The Pound Puppies' voice actors also provide the voices of their Kennel Kitten counterparts. Additionally, Alanna Ubach and John DiMaggio frequently voice various pups, dogs, cats, and humans.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Patches, the leader of the Super Secret Pup Club, is voiced by Jessica DiCicco.
- In general, voice actresses are cast as male pups (notably Cree Summer, Kath Soucie, Grey DeLisle, and E.G. Daily). This makes the irony of Patches' two male friends who berate him for being "girly" all the better.
- Yvette Nicole Brown and Alanna Ubach voice Sparky and Mr. Nut Nut.
- Enforced Method Acting: Not by the actors, but by the studio. The voice cast of the Pound Puppies had their voice equipment pitched up when voicing the Kennel Kittens.
- Official Fan-Submitted Content: The Hub ran a contest prior to the episode "Pound Preemies" to determine Cinnamon's name.
- The Other Darrin:
- McLeish's brother-in-law the Mayor was voiced by Dabney Coleman in the first season and by John Larroquette in the second season.
- The FKD was usually voiced by Tress MacNeille, but is instead voiced by Lauren Tom in the episodes "Hail to the Chief" and "Back in Action".
- Production Posse: Many of the crew members and actors worked on Recess.
- Quietly Cancelled: After season three, the series went on indefinite hiatus without any announcement of its fate. It's presumed that poor sales of the coinciding toy line resulted in Hasbro deciding to quietly wind it down.
- Screwed by the Merchandise: The show was canceled due to a lack of toy sales.
