- According to the creator, Polyhistor Academy was inspired by Rosario + Vampire, where the horror and death was given a focus instead of the romance. The Franchise/Nasuverse and The Dresden Files also helped inspire it.
- The creator has expressed the desire to create a sequel in the form of a Visual Novel.
