  • Dummied Out: The Brendammi Bog, Badream Fens, and Breezy Beach levels, as well as a test level for vehicles.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Confusion over who owns the rights to the game prevent it from getting a sequel or re-release for the time being. Most sources believe that the rights have reverted back to the Pickford Bros. (and they do own the rights to the character, which is why nobody has bothered to sue them over their "Exploding Man" webcomic continuation) but apparently they aren't eager to test that theory.
  • Pop-Culture Urban Legends: The game's soundtrack is so impressive that a popular (though likely apocryphal) story cites Shigeru Miyamoto himself disbelieving that it was produced with an unmodified SNES sound chip.
  • Stillborn Franchise: A sequel was announced in 1997, but it went to Development Hell.
  • What Could Have Been: Software Creations pitched the game to Nintendo in hopes they would publish it and assist with development. Shigeru Miyamoto himself was impressed with the game and had interest in working on it. For unknown reasons, they only published the game in Europe but had no role in development, keeping Plok from becoming a first party Nintendo IP.
