Trivia / Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Conflict of Interest

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: Ropfa really doesn't like the original version of "The Rogue Turnabout". He even considers the revised version his least favorite case in the game by far.
  • Tuckerization: Bad Player in Turnabout on the Web takes his username from a real user and moderator from court-records.net, an Ace Attorney fansite. He's also the co-creator of Turnabout Substitution.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • In the interview with fuandon, Ropfa himself has admitted that the Rivales Family weren't supposed to be the game's villains, they were just supposed to be the evil Sir Gallante was fighting. "The Rogue Turnabout" was originally going to be a stand-alone case, with Edgeworth as the prosecutor. It was only when Ropfa decided to make a full game that he created the recurring characters and villains.
    • Ropfa chalks up Black giving his final testimonies in full Gallante costume in The Rogue Turnabout to Rule of Cool. As he puts it, "would you rather have the final showdown be against a stoner hippie or a knight templar?"
    • "Turnabout on the Web" went through a number of changes. In addition to the Rivales Family not being involved, Cody also wasn't present. Jimmy wasn't supposed to appear until "Turnabout Consequences", but Ropfa decided it was better to introduce him earlier. As a result, he ended up being a much bigger Red Herring than he expected.
    • Ropfa planned to have "the Woman" reveal either her name, face or both to Phoenix at the end of "Turnabout on the Web". In the end, he went with neither. He clarified that he actually does have a name for her, players will just never know it.
    • Ropfa has said that he originally planned Watters to be a Dirty Cop, but gave up that idea because he wanted him to appear in the following cases after "The Rogue Turnabout".
