Trivia / Peg + Cat

• Adored by the Network: Out of all the ended shows on PBS Kids that still air reruns, this one gets the most love from the network. The reruns air at a decent 7:30AM timeslot on the PBS Kids channel and the specials often air as part of Family Night.
• Children Voicing Children: Hayley Faith Negrin was 10 when she started voicing Peg. Also, Christian Distefano as Richard.
• Cross-Regional Voice Acting: Hayley Faith Negrin is from Connecticut and the rest of the cast is from Toronto.
• No Export for You: All versions of the Peg + Cat: Big Gig app game is for some reason only released in the US and Canada. It was once available worldwide on Android, but that seems to have been a mistake on PBS Kids' part and was eventually corrected. However, that action does actually screw over people who have legitimately bought the game as they're no longer allowed to download it unless they move to the US or Canada.
• Short Run in Peru: Australia, Canada, and the UK got the rest of season 1 before the US did. Ditto for season 2.
• Time-Shifted Actor: Tessa is voiced by Addison Holley, while her tween form is instead voiced by Berkley Silverman.
• What Could Have Been: Aki was originally going to be a boy, but Kim Berglund, of PBS, encouraged the producers to change this character from a boy to a girl after participating at the Geena Davis Symposium.
• Write Who You Know: Co-creator Jennifer Oxley based Cat on her own pet cat.
