• Bad Export for You: The original Sentai DVDs and Blu-rays for the TV series contained a few small cuts for the dub on the first volume due to materials issues. Apparently the complete reissue will correct this.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The only way to watch the TV series with the original sound effects is to have access to VHS recordings of the original broadcast airings, the sound effects were redone for the laserdisc release, which all current home video releases still use.
• Recycled: The Series: The seven-episode Direct to Video OVA is rebooted into a full-length televised anime.
• Studio Hop: Mobile Police Patlabor: The Early Days was animated by Studio DEEN. Sunrise animated the TV series and its sequel OVA Patlabor The New Files.
