- Acting for Two:
- Masato Tsutamune is suit actor for Kamejim, Shidejim, and Kyoryu Green. The original suit actor for Kyoryu Green (Kosuke Asai) was not available at the time of filming.
- Yuichi Hachisuka serves as Papillon Ohger and Candelilla's suit actor, as well as Nephila's first suit actor.
- Masashi Takada serves as suit actor for Spider Kumonos and Kyoryu Blue in #32, along with the occasional cameo as a Shugoddam soldier.
- Riichi Seike is suit actor for Dethnaarok and Dagded.
- Takahiro Yoneoka is motion capture-actor for Tarantula Knight, and suit actor for Goma, Debo Senking, and Kyoryu Blue in #33.
- Tomokazu Seki voices both Gerojim and Minongan.
- Yasuhiko Imai suit-acts for TV Series!Ohkuwagata Ohger and Reiniol, both of them being wielders of the OhgerCalibur ZERO. Both roles also have Tetsuya Aoki as understudy.
- Shidō Nakamura plays both Reiniol and Causus Husty, with the latter being the descendant of the former.
- Actor-Inspired Element: Most of the core cast's appearances after the Time Skip were inspired by the actors' suggestions.
- Actor-Shared Background: Grodie and Iroki’s Ship Tease stem from the fact their actors (Kousei Amano and Akiko Hinagata) are actually married.
- Cast as a Mask: Hiroto Yoshimitsu as Sebastian, who's supposedly actually 25 (the actor was 63 at the time) but heavily made up to look the way he does. It turns into this trope when the same makeup crew gives Gira the treatment, and he's played by Hiroto Yoshimitsu as well.
- The Cast Showoff:
- Erica Murakami was able to show off her piano skills in #21 by playing a snippet of Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, Op. 66. She gets to show off her piano skills once more in #33 playing piano versions of "Moffun no Uta" and "Vamola! Kyoryuger".
- Yuzuki Hirakawa got to show off her singing and dancing skills during the idol competition in #38.
- Costume Backlash: Mami Kamura (Suzume) wasn’t keen on the red and white dots applied to her face as Suzume.
- Dawson Casting: A possible parody with Hiroto Yoshimitsu, who was in his sixties at the time of filming; he plays Hymeno's chamberlain, Sebastian, who is actually 25 years old, but is forced to wear make-up to appear older and more butler-like.
- Defictionalization:
- Moffun charms based on the plushies Rita owns were made available for sale not long after #5 aired. This was followed by premium Moffun plushies after #16's airing. Toei later upped the Moffun ante in October 2023, by releasing the giant human-sized Moffun plushie to the masses.
- The Ohsama Sentai's civilian outfits were also made available for sale.
- The Show Within a Show Together with Moffun began airing on the TTFC channel the same day as the series' #14.
- Deleted Scene:
- The preview for #3 showed a scene where Gira and Yanma were on a gondola driven by Sebestian, possibly taking place after Hymeno blew up the dilapidated house since Yanma is holding the same rose and Gira is still handcuffed.
- In a X (Twitter) space by Erica Murakami, she mentioned that there was a scene in #22 where Yanma questions if Suzume ever loved Racules, to which Hymeno responds "The complexity of a woman's heart is beautiful because you don't understand it". Naturally Yanma gets more confused by her response.
- #36's preview saw Gira, Yanma, Rita, and Jeramie wear scarves over their heads in order to get into the Flopital Castle undetected while the group of men try to get "Hymeno's" favor.
- Yuzuki Hirakawa revealed during the the 595th episode of Kamen Rajiranger that there was a scene during #49 where Suji carries Rita on his back that was cut out due to pacing issues.
- Dyeing for Your Art: In order to portray their characters' development after the Time Skip, Aoto Watanabe and Erica Murakami both dyed their hair a shade of blonde, while Yuzuki Hirakawa cut her hair into a short bob.
- Enforced Method Acting: The interview of Masato Yano published in the February 2024 issue of Animage has the actor state that he was the only one given more information about future plot developments such as the existence of the Galacticinsects, which allows him to convey that his character has hidden motives behind his tyranny.
- Hey, It's That Place!: The Bognaarok's lair is the same one used by the Overlord Inves from Kamen Rider Gaim.
- Inspiration for the Work:
- Upon her being cast as Rita/Papillon Ohger, Yuzuki Hirakawa (who was rather outdoorsy as a child and thus had never watched Sentai before) watched Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in preparation for the role.
- Masashi Ikeda (Jeramie) had also watched some episodes of Donbrothers along with their G-Rosso shows in preparation for his audition.
- Irony as She Is Cast: Yanma Gast is a master hacker and engineer. Aoto Watanabe, on the other hand, stated on an episode of Metaverse Roppongi that he considers himself pretty bad with technology and social networking sites.
- Off-the-Shelf FX: The Tarantula Abyss prop is a straight repaint of the DX God Tarantula toy, as the actual toy release for it was still in the pre-production phase.
- The Other Darrin:
- Yuki Miyazawa replaces Yuichi Hachisuka as Nephila's suit actor in #30-#31 and #49.
- Haruna Enomoto replaces Nanami Tsunamoto as Nobuharu's niece Rika in #32. Also counts as a case of Time-Shifted Actor, as Rika is now in her teens.
- Takahiro Yoneoka replaces Masashi Takada as Kyoryu Blue's suit actor in #33 due to Takada playing Spider Kumonos in said episode.
- Playing Against Type: Hachi Ohger's suit actor, Shogo Teramoto, primarily played villainous characters in both Super Sentai and Kamen Rider prior to King-Ohger. Hachi Ohger is the first main heroic role he has ever played.
- Promoted Fanboy: Almost every major cast member was a Tokusatsu fan in their childhoods prior to being casted.
- Taisei Sakai (Gira/Kuwagata Ohger) enjoyed watching Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger and Kamen Rider Kuuga with his brothers.
- Aoto Watanabe's (Yanma/Tombo Ohger) favorite series is Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, jokingly mentioning that he had a massive crush on Jasmine/DekaYellow. note He also enjoyed Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger, Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger, and Abaranger.
- Erica Murakami's (Hymeno/Kamakiri Ohger) personal favorite series is Kamen Rider Fourze, often imitating Gentaro's Character Catchphrase with her younger brother. She also enjoyed watching Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and Kamen Rider Drive, greatly admiring Yuki Yamada (Joe Gibken/Gokai Blue) and Rio Uchida (Kiriko Shijima) as actors.
- Sō Kaku (Kaguragi/Hachi Ohger) watched and roleplayed Gosei Sentai Dairanger as a kid with his siblings, with his favorite character being Daigo/Shishiranger. He has also stated that he enjoyed the series from Ninja Sentai Kakuranger to Abaranger.
- Masato Yano (Racules/Ohkuwagata Ohger) stated that his favorite series were Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, Gekisou Sentai Carranger and Denji Sentai Megaranger growing up during an Instagram livestream.
- NANO, the singer of Gira's theme "INFERNO", has stated multiple times on her Twitter that it was a dream of hers to do a song for a Sentai series.
- A large number of extras who portray civilians of the various kingdoms are also said to be this, as they were recruited via a casting call made exclusive to members of the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club in Japan.
- Masashi Ikeda (Jeramie/Spider Kumonos) was a huge fan of Kamen Rider 555 as a child, actually owning all of the Rider Belts. He had also watched Abaranger in his childhood.
- Shidō Nakamura (Reiniol) stated during the premiere stage greeting for Ohsama Sentai King Ohger Adventure Heaven that he was a big fan of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger as a child and that it was a big dream of his to be on a Sentai series.
- Kousei Amano (Grodie) revealed in his casting announcement that he was a giant fan of the series ever since the first episode.
- Prop Recycling:
- While not exactly unusual in Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, it's pretty damning for a series to recycle a suit design before it even began airing, given Ohkuwagata Ohger's existence. Though it becomes less damning when plot details reveal that it's Racules using basically a knockoff/prototype version of Kuwagata Ohger and not a simple cost-saving measure.
- An audio variant in #5; the slashing sounds for Papillon Ohger's OhgerCalibur reuse the activation sound of the Konchuu Daihyakka Wonder Ride Book.
- For the unexpected return of Kyoryu Red for the 10th anniversary of his home series, his new form is accessed using a recolored Gaburicalibur and the suit itself is that of his Super Mode with new torso armor patterned off of the core King-Ohgers.
- The crossover films recycle the final forms of the main reds, with King Kuwagata Ohger using modified GolDon armor, Don Momotaro using a modified King Kuwagata Ohger suit, Kyoryu Red reusing parts of his Carnival form, and Kuwagata Ohger using King Kuwagata Ohger but with Kyoryu Red Carnival's torso armor.
- Real-Life Relative: Kousei Amano (Grodie) and Akiko Hinagata (Iroki) are husband and wife.
- Real Life Writes the Plot:
- The reason that Kaguragi is always crouching or sitting when transformed is because his live actor Sō Kaku is considerably taller than the suit actor Shogo Teramoto;note hence the need for Kaguragi to always alter his stance to avoid drawing attention to the size difference.
- The absence of Daigo and Utchy from the two Kyoryuger crossover episodes owes to their actors being unable to return physically.
- Rita is not de-aged in #42, as Haro Asada was unavailable at the time.
- Role Reprise:
- #32 and #33 bring back Syuusuke Saito as Ian/Kyoryu Black, Yamato Kinjo as Nobuharu/Kyoryu Blue, Akihisa Shiono as Souji/Kyoryu Green, Ayuri Konno as Amy/Kyoryu Pink, Kentaro Shimazu as Gentle, Ayumi Kinoshita as Yuko Fukui, Haruka Tomatsu as Candelilla, and Ai Orikasa as Luckyuronote Suit actor-wise, Yuichi Hachisuka, Naoko Kamio, Yasuhiro Takeuchi, and Mizuho Nogawa both reprise their roles as Candelilla, Luckyuro, Kyoryu Black, and Kyoryu Pink respectively.
- The Kyoryuger movie brings the return of Ryo Ryusei as Daigo/Kyoryu Red, Atsushi Maruyama as Utsusemimaru/Kyoryu Gold, and Marie Iitoyo as Yayoi/Kyoryu Violet
- Spoiled by the Merchandise:
- Ohkuwataga Ohger's existence was revealed via promos for a set of plush toys, of all things.
- A promotional image ended up accidentally revealing Gira's last name to be Husty, prematurely revealing that he was actually royalty; thus is the reason why he could use the OhgerCalibur in the first place.
- The mid-season upgrade for Kuwagata Ohger, along with Caucasus Kabuto Castle being a giant robot were revealed via toy catalogues for the third quarter.
- Throw It In!:
- In a magazine interview with +act, Masashi Ikeda revealed that Jeramie's Character Catchphrase of "...from what I've heard"note added on by him as he was recording the narration for #1 and #2 at the suggestion of director Kazuya Kamihoriuchi.
- So Kaku revealed in a full-cast Oricon interview that Kaguragi's mispronunciation of "Scorpy" in #8 was an ad-lib.
- Yuzuki Hirakawa revealed in the official character book "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Character Book: We're KING!!!!!" that Yanma's reply to Rita's scream in #19 was ad-libbed.
- In #28, the line where Kaguragi!Hymeno says "This is the muscle that protects the people" was improvised by Erica Murakami according to both the production notes and Kaku's reply to Murakami's post.
- The production notes for #36 revealed that Yanma's dance while being puppeteered by Jeramie was completely improvised by Aoto Watanabe. Masashi Ikeda elaborated in an interview with Duet that Watanabe based it upon the dances seen in the Awa Odori festival in Tokushima after showing some clips to teach himnote .
- Trolling Creator: On March 31st 2023, the series official Twitter officially revealed Ohkuwagata Ohger while asking fans to guess their identity, the list of possible candidates notably being only the kings' aides. The "answer" was revealed the next day to be "Douga and Boshimar fused into a single warrior". As it turned out, this was part of an April Fools celebration.
- Underage Casting: Rita is revealed to be 25 years old (27 as of the Time Skip) in the official synopsis for #16; Yuzuki Hirakawa was 21 at the time of filming.
- Flip-Flop of God: Minato Takano indirectly confirmed in an interview with NEWS Postseven that Rita was written to be "gender neutral". However, there are multiple instances of official sources, including Rita's actress herself, referring to Rita as a woman, and "gender neutral" is a not a phrase commonly used for nonbinary people in Japan (the term X-Gender is normally preferred) so many fans are unsure how to take this.
- What Could Have Been:
- The production notes for #2-#4 showed off early concepts for the kingdoms, revealing some key concepts and names that were changed in the process.
- Gira was set to the be the king of Shugoddam before it was changed to Racules.
- Rita was initially named "Shijima Uragin" in Gokkan's original concept. Similarly, Kaguragi's prototype name was "Kaburagi".
- N'Kosopa's capital was tentatively set as "Nerima".
- Interviews within vol. 180 and 181 of Uchūsen revealed how some of the characters' personalities had changed due to their actors.
- Yanma was initially envisioned as a much more aggressive personality, but Takano decided to tone him down into a calmer, but no less arrogant character after seeing Aoto Watanabe's portrayal of him.
- Takano drafted Kaguragi as far more devious character that had a "cooler" approach, thinking that it could work despite Sō Kaku being an older man. Takano eventually became more interested in writing Kaguragi as an cheerful Manipulative Bastard after seeing Kaku's rather lighthearted performance.
- Jeramie's personality was initially set as a smug "hard-boiled" type, much like Spike from Cowboy Bebop. According to the producers, Masashi Ikeda's natural charm and humor during the meeting prior to filming #11 altered Jeramie to have a much "cuter" personality than expected.
- According to head producer Takahito Omori, the idea for Jeramie's character came about when Minato Takano suggested that King-Ohger end with a character narrating the series' events from the beginning. Omori rejected this idea as he found it identical to Kamen Rider Build's finale.
- In N'Kosopa's costume development notes (located in #16's production notes), the costume department initially set Yanma's main jacket as the bulkier blue-and-silver jacket that he occasionally wears. However, after drafting the rest of the country's costumes, the department thought that the jacket looked "too soft" for his personality, so they switched to his blue leather jacket as his main one.
- The production notes for #2-#4 showed off early concepts for the kingdoms, revealing some key concepts and names that were changed in the process.
- Write What You Know: According to Minato Takano on Twitter, Rita’s Skyward Scream of frustration is something he does in similar situations.
