• Creator Backlash: To this day, Chevy Chase has no idea why he agreed to star in this film. He hated it so much, he spent the back half of production just counting down the days until filming wrapped and he could go shoot Caddyshack.
• Development Hell: A reboot handled by Tim Hill (of the first Alvin and the Chipmunks film) was announced in 2015, but nothing has been heard from it since.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The film hasn't been reissued on DVD since 2005.
