• Hypothetical Casting: The credits reveal some of the casting choices for the characters, including the OC's:
  • Arin Hanson for Doppler.
  • Cristina Vee for Ceres.
  • Monica Rial for Kylie.
  • Tara Strong for Ria.
• Schedule Slip:
  • Chapters 21-24 were originally supposed to be released as a "Gemstones Splash"; however, due to the creator's being over worked, they split them up into two back to back releases.
  • Chapter 30 was delayed by a week due to reasons unknown.
  • Chapter 36 was delayed by a day due to a winter storm.
• Throw It In!:
  • Gemstones crew member Ethan offhandedly made the idea of Emerald or Mercury being included in Chapter 19. Transwiththeplans immediately came up with plans to use them, going with Emerald in the end.
  • Slapback wasn't really considered, until the creator saw a clip of them in action and fell in love with them.
• Trolling Creator: Transwiththeplans releases Chapter 34. On Christmas Eve. In the chapter Max dies. One reviewer made a review that simply said: "I hate you."
• Word of Gay: Charmcaster is confirmed as bisexual, and is in a relationship with Emerald.
• Word of God: Vilgax's new regeneration abilities from Animo's experimentation.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Kevin was meant to have a Heel–Face Turn in the finale, not earlier.
  • Ben 10k was a last minute addition to the series. Originally, Ben 10k was going to be like his original series counterpart, but the author's decided to make Ben 10k a "cool kind of dad".
  • Bloxx was originally supposed to be in Eatle's place.
  • Gwen was meant to find out about the alien side of her family in a "second summer" season; this season ultimately never came to fruition due to the author's wanting to focus on teen Ben and Ruby.
  • Originally, "Charmed, I'm Sure" was two chapters. The first was the base episode, and the second was Ghostfreaked Out. The reason this was changed was due to the episode not being well placed and a lot of areas neither of the authors liked.
  • Adam Taurus was almost made a zombie in this canon via Crystal Dolphin.
