- Quietly Cancelled: The series failed to become the smash hit that Netflix was hoping for. As a result of this, the series got quietly cancelled after its second season. Co-creator Ethan Banville confirmed this fact on his official YouTube channel, with the last piece of TheOdd1sOut media related to the show, a graphic novel, being announced on that same video.
- What Could Have Been:
- Originally, Max was to have more reptilian habits. Specifically, he would sunbathe, chase live chickens, and enjoy the rain. That said season 2 does show those traits with how he handle certain foods and he does enjoy the rain in "School Poolers".
- James's character was originally going to be the new kid in town. But in the series proper he lived in Dirt his whole life.
