Trivia / OSW Review

Go To

  • Colbert Bump: Maffew of Botchamania fame has linked to OSW podcasts (some with his own commentary, others not) in lieu of updates.
  • Follow the Leader: Many other wrestling podcasts have popped up, citing OSW Review as their inspiration.
  • In Memoriam:
    • The First Ever Raw was dedicated to Ultrabrah Matthew, a young fan.
    • TNA Bound For Glory '08 was dedicated to color commentator Don West, who had passed away between recording and upload. West is also spoken of fondly during the show, especially his high-fives with wrestlers mid-match.
  • The Pete Best: The early episodes feature Neo instead of V1/OOC. Putting aside the various combinations of the four, it isn't until the Survivor Series 1988 review that the three-man-band is solidified and wouldn't break, even delaying regular reviews while OOC was in America.
  • Referenced by...: During the creator commentary video of Dragon Ball Z Abridged Broly, Lanipator of Team Four Star calls a rather sloppy and weak looking dive attack that Piccolo does to Broly in the movie a "top rope nothing," even directly namedropping OSW Review's channel.
  • Throw It In!:
    • Jay keeps funny recordings. In the case of the ECW Heat Wave '98 video, Jay has OOC read an ad for OSW's T-shirts and keeps it all, probably because OOC flubs the spelling: "T S H A... T-shart?!" Cue everyone cracking up.
    • The now famous "Dirty Leeeeeeeee" segment was almost cut, but Jay decided/was convinced to keep it in at the last minute.
  • Working Title: The show was supposed to be called "Video Classic Reviews", so they could be called VCRs
