  • Line to God: Jessica Townsend has a Twitter here.
  • Troubled Production: Hollowpox was supposed to be released in January 2020, but was pushed back to August because the author felt it needed more editing before it met her standards. Then, in May of the same year, she announced that it was one of many books that had had their publication dates pushed back because of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic. It eventually came out in September of 2020 in Australia, and October of that year in the US and UK.
  • Sequel Gap: Silverborn's release date was announced as 28-September-2022 - this was longer than the gap between Hollowpox and Nevermoor. It was then delayed by a year. And then another year. Jessica Townsend has not discussed the second delay at all.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Originally, Jessica Townsend set out to write the story of a young girl who went to live with her eccentric, magical aunt Morrigan... but she quickly decided the aunt was a lot more interesting than the niece, and set out to tell her story instead.
    • In the original draft of the book, the Arc Number of nine was even more prominent, as the Curse and the rescue by Jupiter happened on Morrigan's ninth birthday. However, the publishers asked Jessica Townsend to age the protagonist up to better fit the marketing group, and so in the published version Morrigan is turning eleven.
