• Fandom Nod:
  • A majority of friend cards are well-known background ponies with popular Fan Nicknames.
  • Some cards in the Absolute Discord expansion set include fandom names (Nightmare Star for Celestia as a troublemaker, Ponka Po for Pinkie Pie with a mustache) which will probably never be used in canon media.
  • Also in Absolute Discord is a "blank" card featuring a Freeze-Frame Bonus from "Pinkie Apple Pie".
• What Could Have Been: In the beta version, the flip side of Main cards was labeled "20% Cooler" instead of "Boosted". While the game does have many references to fandom memes, naming a major game mechanic after one would perhaps have been a bit too much.
