• One-Hit Wonder: His single became the first record to reach and then return to the number one position in the UK since 1968. And that was it for two years, then he released another song called Christmas in Blobbyland which was far less memorable.
• The Other Darrin: In this BBC interview during 2021, Mr Blobby clearly has a different voice actor and his vocabulary is expanded slightly.
