- What Could Have Been:
- Plesioth, Green Plesioth, and Duramboros were planned to be in the game as both Monsties and wild monsters, as evidenced by leaked Genes found within the game's coding, but were cut due to time constraints. Their equipment was retained, however, with the former two having theirs made from scales and fins gathered from fishing while the latter's were exclusive to DLC events.
- Tetsucabra, Seltas, Rhenoplos, Giaprey, Giadrome, and Shogun Ceanataur were planned to be among the wild monsters the player can hunt, as evidenced by their icons being found within the game's coding, but were also cut due to time constraints. Tetsucabra at least did make it in for Stories 2.
