- After the game's release, it only received one major update, and was largely forgotten about since. Then the game was overhauled by Six Foot Kid in 2014 and was getting constant updates for next few years.
- Many mobile games by Halfbrick Studios were removed from App Store and Google Play in 2018 due to lacking resources to make them GDPR compliant and not being profitable enough, Monster Dash included. Two year later, Halfbrick would enter the partnership
with Krome Studios, who would work on bringing the game back with new content added for another few years.
