- Dueling Games: Although a lesser-known title and a brand new IP from a small gaming studio, Monark not only released on the same day as Destiny 2's Witch Queen expansion, but it also came out three days before Elden Ring, a highly-anticipated triple-A title by FromSoftware. Not helping matters is that Horizon Forbidden West released only a few days prior, further putting the game in a bad spot.
- Lying Creator: In previews and interviews, the game was stated to have four endings. This is technically true, but it only refers to the endings of Act 2, which does not end the game as there's one final chapter left for players to complete before the credits roll.
- Missing Trailer Scene: Various teasers and trailers show a scene of the Vice-President grabbing a Legion by the head and destroying it, with a close-up shot showing his white Imagigear stained black, implying he's either gone Mad or entered an Enlightened state. The scene is missing in the game proper.
- Pre-Order Bonus: The Digital Deluxe Edition, if pre-ordered, gives the players access to Vessel armor sets for the Fiends and costumes for the protagonist, all of which are collaborations with The Caligula Effect 2 and Crystar. It also comes with casual and formal costumes for the True Student Council, which can be purchased separately.
