Method Acting: According to Bobby Heenan, the Link tried to get Heenan to take care of his travel arrangements because he didn't want to have to break character, but Heenan refused.
Acclaimed Flop: The movie was critically lauded and won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, but earned only roughly a fourth of its budget back worldwide, making it Laika's lowest-grossing film to date. Its failure to make back said budget can be attributed to being Screwed by the Network (see below) and being released two weeks away from the highly successful Avengers: Endgame.
Dueling Movies: With Smallfoot and Abominable, as all three are animated films centered around Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti that were released within a year of each other. Missing Link ended up winning critically, as it got the best reviews compared to the other two, but bombed hard at the box office, making it the worst commercially out of the three.
No Dub for You: The is the only Laika film without a Japanese dub.
