  • And You Thought It Would Fail: In a rare instance where the band themselves thought this. When they first read the treatment for video they rejected it across the board, considering it cheesy and not in line with the types of videos they usually did.note  They only agreed after Pam got involved. Now the video is not only seen as iconic among rock videos, but is now a major part of the band's legacy and a required milestone to bring up when discussing the band's legacy. The band themselves were also really quick to reevaluate their opinion on the video and wound up loving it.note
  • Follow the Leader: Since the video came out, there have been a sleu of musical artists who used some part of its premise as inspiration for their own videos. Most often this is by referencing on of the video's signature scenes by either having the artist standing on top of a giant woman's butt while she reclines, or by having a giant woman in the video who eats them. When she took inspiration from the video, Rainey Qualley notably flipped the narrative by casting herself as the giant woman and she was the one who ate everyone.
  • Promoted Fangirl: Pam was already a big fan of the band before being approached to play the Giant Woman.
  • Word of God: Lit has made it clear in multiple interviews that Pamela Anderson a.k.a. Vallery Irons is supposed to be a Giant Woman, with the band being normal sized.
  • What Could Have Been:

    • Lit originally wanted the video to be them performing the song in an arena in a manner similar to concert footage (they wanted something "sexy" and "huge"). But then they received the treatment for the video, which had them perfoming the song on a giant woman in a bikini. At first the band thought it sounded kind of cheesy but they agreed to do it if they got Pamela Anderson to play the giantess. At the time they were shooting the episode of her show VIP where they were guest stars and had enjoyed working with her. Pamela Anderson was also a major sex symbol at the time, so they figured having her star as the giant woman would give the video more clout and make it come off as less cheesy. The next time they saw Pam the first thing she said was "Hey boys, I'm gonna be in your video" and the rest was history. Considering how well received the video was, it's safe to say that not going the concert footage route was the right choice.
    • Pam Anderson was also not originally involved in the music video at all. The original treatment that the band rejected multiple times simply had an unnamed gigantic woman in a bikini letting the band walk on her body before gleefully eating them. It was only while shooting V.I.P. that Jeremy and A.Jay Popoff came up with the idea of Pam being the giant woman. Which was partly an attempt to get the treatment tossed out.
