• What Could Have Been: Due to the author cancelling the third tournament mid-way, a lot of things failed to be realized plot-wise, but he did post a series of potential plans that would have panned out if he had kept going...
  • Bison's plan would have needed Pikachu to act as a battery for a machine of his. A failed kidnapping of Pikachu is later revealed to be the in-universe cause of the tournament's cancellation due to causing a blackout.
  • Ash Crimson's side-plan involves taking the Soul Eater Rune for himself, though Tir in turn passed in onto Aryll, Link's sister from Wind Waker, in an attempt to throw Ash off. This would eventually lead to a side-plot for Aryll as she tries to keep the rune out of the hands of Ash.
  • Maggey Byrde is forcibly made more-confident thanks to the machinations of fellow security team members Psymon Stark and Max. As the tournament progresses she gets more and more dangerous, angry and unhinged, ending in a side battle where Psymon and Max need to fight her to make her snap out of it and undo the damage they did.
  • Two unresolved stories from Rose's fortune-telling room that would have been given answers late in the tournament:
    • Zant is told that he would get into a fight with a clown that, win or lose, he would almost be killed in. This results in Zant being increasingly-paranoid about Bonker, an evil clown that he works with throughout the course of the tournament. In the end, Zant would have attacked Bonker first, leading to the two spilling out into the world of One Piece, where it's revealed that Zant's real clown opponent would be Buggy the Clown, leading to a final side battle for him.
    • Captain Qwark is told that he will witness someone getting shot and, rather than cower in fear, he will face the aggressor with anger and take a step to becoming a real hero. Late in the tournament, Ash Crimson would have cornered Aryll and, in an attempt to get the Soul Eater Rune more-powerful, would have shot her friend. This would have enraged Qwark, whom was nearby, and get him to enter a side battle with Ash himself.
