Trivia / Mega Man 7

Go To

  • Refitted for Sequel: Many of the Special Weapons are capable of interacting with the environment, which was a concept planned out as far back as Mega Man 2 but never implemented due to system limitations. One such idea from then (the Atomic Fire burning the trees in Wood Man's stage) is present via the Scorch Wheel burning a group of trees in Slash Man's stage.
  • Troubled Production: Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, who worked as a programmer on this game and later produced Mega Man 11, said that due to the development team having to go straight from developing Mega Man X2 into working on this game, with an unmovable release date of March 1995, they had to draft in an external developer to help get the game completed in time. It's been theorized, though not confirmed, that said external developer was Minakuchi Engineering, who worked on the Mega Man Game Boy sub-series, and later acted as the primary developer on Mega Man X3.
