• Creator Backlash: Despite Chris Sorrell being proud of the game accomplished, He did have some gripes such as the exclusion of the hall of heroes, He also disliked some other aspects such as Sir Dan's new voice, The squeaky-voiced Winston Chapelmount, and some of the puerile humor.
• The Other Darrin: Sir Daniel is voiced by Marc Silk, replacing Jason Wilson who voiced him in the first game.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The original plot had the previous antagonist Zarok being held prisoner in the Tower of London and Sir Daniel Fortesque's objective would be to free and team up with him, but this idea was eventually dropped due to it being considered identical to a "B-movie twist ending".
  • The game was originally not going to have Sir Dan as the protagonist but his recently deceased descendent Sir Henry who wears a tattered victorian outfit, cape, top hat, and monocle and at one point he had a beard (His Victorian dinner suit is a remnant of this concept). He would also have an owl mentor who was replaced by a ghost named Winston Chapelmount.
  • Originally Princess Kiya was going to be named Dawn as a reference to Dawn of the Dead (1978) and had a more area-appropriate design.
  • The final level was originally going to take place in Parliament, with Dan fighting a giant mutated Queen Victoria named Queen-zilla. She was replaced by a generic Blue Demon in the final.
