• Dawson Casting: All the young characters are voiced by adults. The one who takes the cake is Candi Milo, who was 43 when voicing the 10 year old Maya.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: There were some DVD releases of the show but good luck finding them. So far, it seems like the only to watch the show (or some of the episodes) is the PBS website.
• Kids' Meal Toy: Wendy's sold a fortune teller, a translator, and a DVD game in their Kids' Meals in 2005.
• What Could Have Been: The season 1 title sequence shows Miguel's shoe glowing similarly to Maya's hair bobble, suggesting that the two might have had Wonder Twin Powers at some point.
• Working Title: The show was once called "The Misadventures Of Maya And Miguel".
