Trivia / Marshal Law

  • Channel Hop: The comic was initially published by Epic Comics, an imprint for creator-owned comics at Marvel Comics, but has since also been published by Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • A movie was proposed back in the 90s but nothing came of it. The closest it got to being made was in 2010 and it was to be directed by McG of Charlie's Angels (2000) and Terminator Salvation fame.
    • Suicida was supposed to have his own 32 page one shot comic. A preview ad was even made for it.
    • At one point The Punisher was to genuinely cross-over into the comic but Pat Mills didn't feel comfortable with a real superhero in his stories. This led to Marshal Law Takes Manhattan which features a parody of the Punisher.
    • Originally, Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill were making a Judge Dredd rip-off with Marshal Law as a villain hunter. Pat Mills then decided to modify it into "hunting heroes" and converting the comic into a satire of superhero stories.
    • Secret Tribunal was intended to be one of the many Alien crossovers of the 90s, but it didn't pan out. It's not hard to tell.
    • In 2015, Mills had announced at MCM Birmingham Comic-Con that a new Marshal Law crossover was in the works featuring a character from DC Comics (who published The Deluxe Edition collection), but it ultimately seems to have been abandoned.
