  • Amateur Cast: Nobody in the main cast had anything more than minor bit parts to their name: Jessica Rose (Bree) had the most credits of the original trio as a makeup artist, Yousef Abu-Taleb (Daniel) had nothing, Jackson Davis (Jonas) had two minor parts, Becki Kregoski (Taylor) had a few small roles, Alexandra Dreyfus (Sarah) had nothing, Katherine Pawlak (Emma) had nothing, Melanie Merkosky (Jennie) had several minor roles, and Crystal Young (Gina) had one role from two years earlier.
  • California Doubling: The show actually manages to film on location most of the time, with the exception of Zavalla, Texas, which is doubled for by Van Nuys, California.
  • The Cast Showoff: A video of Gina just building a bench, on-camera, sped up. Crystal Young reportedly worked in construction before the series.
  • Dawson Casting: Most of the main characters are teenagers, but they're played by actors who are older than 18. Especially notable with the big (Real Life) reveal that the show is fictional: Jessica Rose was 19 when she played Bree, a 16-year-old girl.
  • Dummied Out: "Slide Tackle", an episode that was filmed but never officially released. It was found by fans by accident and uploaded later on. It seems it would've been part of a subplot about Taylor's friend Sam, but was apparently scrapped along with the episode.
  • Fake American: New Zealand native Jessica Lee Rose plays the American Bree.
  • Franchise Killer: The disastrous LG15: Outbreak caused the series to lay dormant for six years thanks to its Troubled Production, which included the recession squeezing the production company, an attempt to tie it in with a new social publishing platform that didn't work as advertised, and the fact that the whole thing was created by contest-winning fans who had no idea what they were getting into. This video by the show's creator Gregory Austin McConnell goes into more detail.
  • Missing Episode: Several early episodes are missing from the official website. Thankfully they're still on YouTube.
  • One-Book Author: Shannon Solomon played the role of Jules/Julie/Julia during Season 1 and never appeared in a scripted series again.
  • The Other Darrin: Amanda Goodfried took over the role of Lucy after Jessi Williams left for unknown reasons.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The original plot for Zavalla in Season 1 was something involving Taylor's friend Sam, possibly with her being the new Ceremony girl. The unreleased episode "Slide Tackle" is a slight shade in this direction, but the actress set to play Sam backed out late in the process, forcing the creators to scrap the episode and switch to creating the character of Jules to be the Ceremony girl.
    • The original winner of the first The Show Is Yours contest was LG15: The Misfits. It would've starred Taylor, Spencer, and Linc (of Redearth88), and reception to the pilot was very positive. And then the makers pulled it out of the competition when they realized they weren't going to be paid by EQAL to make the show, leading to the release of runner-up LG 15 The Last instead.
