Trivia / LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed

  • Author's Saving Throw: The production team listens to complaints made by players and make necessary changes to make gameplay enjoyable. In the game's Facebook page, the game designers/producer mentioned in a Hot Wings eating interview that more LEGO figure varieties will be made available, especially those from licensed properties/franchises that have existing LEGO-based figures/sets to give players options who to play as. The first update confirmed this by adding LEGO Pirates antagonist Governor Tierney and his daughter Leigh. The page also revealed the first licensed LEGO minifigure on July 8, Peter Venkman.
  • Fandom Nod: The game's use of the term "Dark Age" seems to be a direct reference to its use as Fan Speak by Adult Fans of LEGO, who refer to the time where they temporarily lost interest in LEGO as their Dark Age (and, much like the Dark Age in LEGO Legacy, would therefore dismantle their sets and put them away in storage during this time).
  • The Red Stapler:
    • Secondary market prices for minifigures featured in LEGO Legacy have gone up due to increased demand since the game's release. As of June 2020, Locust is the most expensive Insectoids minifigure, fetching prices over $10 on BrickLink.
    • Fans have also been building their own versions of Rorrim. If you want to do it, the list of pieces are here.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: The game developers mentioned in a Discord Q&A session that for the Ghostbusters crossover, they're not using the Ghostbusters Firehouse set since it was made with a lot of bricks; this is likely due to how time consuming it would be to have its assembly animated. Instead, they went with the Ecto-1, a much smaller and more manageable set.
