- Acting for Two:
- Carlos Alazraqui voices Stroh, the Diviner and Brekken.
- Fred Tatasciore voices Atta-Kai as well as some one-off characters.
- Completely Different Title: The game was known as "Rise from Lair" for its Japanese release.
- Creator Backlash: After the game's release, quite a few Factor 5 developers were unimpressed with how the final product turned out, including creative director Julian Eggebrecht.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes:
- John Debney's score was initially made available through iTunes (in a condensed release, the complete score runs 150 minutes). Despite the game company selling the score rights to an outside company, this trope was eventually subverted when La-La Land Records released the soundtrack in a limited edition 2-disc set in April 2014.
- With the discontinuation of the PlayStation 3 in 2016, physical copies of the game have become hard to find.
- What Could Have Been: The game was originally supposed to have been part of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, specifically the "Dragonlance" setting. Wizards of the Coast requested a hefty sum for the rights to the franchise, so Lair was developed as its own IP.
