- Crossdressing Voices:
- Thanks to Maiko Itou reprising her role in both drama CD and Super Robot Wars 30, Mamoru still has this, even as an adult. Which is lampshaded in story.
- Series Director Yoshitomo Yonetani personally handpicked Mitsuki Saiga to take over the role of Ikumi Kaidou for his appearance in Super Robot Wars 30 in tribute of his former voice actress, Sayuri Yamauchi, who passed away from cancer on 2012. Saiga’s convincing male voice also holds the additional bonus of indicating Kaidou’s smoother physical maturation into adulthood compared to Mamoru; who always get mistaken for a teenager.
- Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Due to the novel and manga being all unlicensed, of all mediums, Super Robot Wars 30 is the first adaptation to bring the story of GGGvB to the broader domestic, and global audience with some form of animation and voice acting. The cast of GGG did not see this coming either. Mamoru’s voice actress, Maiko Itou made her first ever commitment to purchase and play a SRW game just to have a better understanding of GaoGaiGo and how it might be animated if a full series came to pass.
- No Export for You: Being a light novel that just finished with a manga series only 3 volumes into Tankobon form, aside for Super Robot Wars 30, this series hasn’t release any licenses for export. Therefore fans opt to make scanlations that can be seen here.
- Referenced by...: It made a surprise debut in the Super Robot Wars franchise with Super Robot Wars 30.
- Role Reprise: With the exception of Ikumi Kaidou, whose voice actress's death necessitate a replacement, every cast members from the previous shows return for the Drama CD and consequently Super Robot Wars 30.
- Sequel Gap: GaoGaiGar FINAL had its final episode released in 2003, leaving a 13-year gap between it and the first Web Novel chapter of its sequel in September 2016.
- Saved from Development Hell: A downplayed version. The project started in 2005 as a proposed new TV series titled King of Braves GaoGaiGar: Project Z... only to never get greenlit. The 2016-2021 novel allowed fans to finally see what the project would've been; with a manga adaptation of the run, along with a story route in Super Robot Wars 30, fans can catch some visual glimpses of how this project would look if it were to be animated as well.
- Sequel in Another Medium: A Web Novel followup to two different anime series, GaoGaiGar and Betterman.
- What Could Have Been:
- The novel was initially planned out in 2005 as a proposed new TV series titled King of Braves GaoGaiGar: Project Z.
- Another concept for the novel involved a Crisis Crossover between not only GaoGaiGar and Betterman, but also every single past entry in the Brave Series. The idea went far enough for some concept art to be created for it before being discarded.
- While this concept would not end up being used for [GaoGaiGar], it would later serve as the basis for the webcomic Brave Universe: Sworgrader.
