  • California Doubling: An extreme case of it - it's about Canadians and set in Canada, but it was shot in America with an all-American cast because no one in Canada wanted anything to do with it.
  • Creator Backlash: After learning that the film was actually based on a real story and not fiction as he was led to believe, as well as having a conversation with a victim who escaped, Misha Collins publicly disavowed the film. If it ever comes up in public, his immediate response is to tell his fans to avoid it. He also stated that the director of the film took things way too far and would compliment him after shooting particularly horrible rape scenes, saying "That was hot" (Collins ended up filing a restraining order against him).
  • Dyeing for Your Art : Prepon dyed her naturally red hair blonde for the role.
  • Edited for Syndication: Whenever the film airs on Lifetime, numerous scenes and words are either trimmed down or edited out completely including several usages of the words "fuck" and "shit".
  • Hostility on the Set: The director, Joel Bender, was very creepy on-set (see Creator Backlash above), and freaked out Misha Collins to the point that he filed a restraining order.
