- Content Leak:
- Jotaro Kujo and Dai were both accidentally revealed on an Instagram ad on January 2019.
- Dataming the game revealed all of the nine DLC fighters for Season 1: Madara Uchiha, Trafalgar Law, Majin Buu, Biscuit Krueger, Seto Kaiba, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Katsuki Bakugo, and All Might.
- Likewise, the playable models for the Original Generation boss characters Kane, Galena, and Prometheus were also in the game files. The first two were confirmed in July 2019, while the last one was confirmed the following month.
- Giorno Giovanna and Yoruichi Shihoin both had their skeletons leaked in October 2020 and later added in the game files on the following month, but was since taken down. A week later, they've been confirmed by Bandai Namco as the last two DLC fighters for Season 2.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Goku, Luffy, Naruto, Kenshin* , Boruto, Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Dai, and Hitsugaya.
- Dueling Games: With Super Smash Bros. Just as Smash Bros. is a crossover fighting game of Nintendo games and other related works. Jump Force is a fighting crossover of Shonen Jump works. Both include a different Dragon Quest Hero in their rosters.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The game and its DLC was pulled from all digital storefronts in February 2022, so good luck trying to find a copy and a way to access all of the bonus content.
- No Dub for You: There are no plans for the game to receive an English dub, mainly due to union and labor law issues that would arise (since many of the characters come from different anime titles dubbed by different studios) and the tons of characters in the game.
- Prop Recycling: Via being developed by the same company (Spike Chunsoft), a majority of character reuse a large amount of their animations from J-Stars Victory VS in regards to their basic attack animations; One Piece characters from Burning Blood however, also reuse their animations from that game as well.
- One of the clearest examples is the use of Susanoo: not only do Sasuke, Kakashi, and Madara all summon Susanoo for their ultimates, but each version looks identical to each other, with the only difference being slightly different colors.
- Role Reprise:
- Zig-zagged with Akira Kamiya, who reprises his role as Ryo Saeba. However, he does not reprise his other role as Kenshiro despite being his original VA. Instead, Katsuyuki Konishi reprises his role as Kenshiro from J-Stars Victory VS and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage here.
- Like the above, this also applies to Tōru Furuya, who reprises his role as Sabo, but not Pegasus Seiya despite being his original VA, who is instead reprised by Masakazu Morita from the OVAs and Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac here.
- In spite of her failing health and the character not appearing in any media since the series' conclusion by the time of the game's releasenote , Toshiko Fujita reprised her role as Dai.
- Posthumous Credit: Dai is voiced by his voice actress from the first anime, Toshiko Fujita, who passed away on December 28, 2018 at the age of 68 from breast cancer. She still managed to complete all of her lines in game, despite her declining health.
- Swan Song: Toshiko Fujita's reprise as Dai was her final role before her passing in late 2018.
- What Could Have Been: Killua and Renji have data mined models that reveal that both were planned to be more examples of Walking Shirtless Scene in comparison to the final game where they both only have one tier of Clothing Damage. One can only speculate why the more damaged versions weren't seen despite being fully modeled and seemingly ready to go.
