- Completely Different Title:
- Finland: The Killer Snowman
- Greece: Maniac Snowman
- Russia: Snowman
- The Foreign Subtitle:
- Germany: Jack Frost: The Ice Cold Killer
- Mexico: Jack Frost: Terror on Ice
- Creator Backlash: Shannon Elizabeth certainly doesn't like to reminisce about the time she was raped by a snowman.
- Inspiration for the Work: The film was the brainchild of director Michael Cooney and producers Jeremy Paige and Vicki Slotnick, all of whom were close friends. The story goes that Cooney owned a home in the mountains that they'd travel to for skiing, and one year he and Paige made an intentionally evil-looking snowman that was so freaky that Slotnick had trouble sleeping. They took this as inspiration to make a horror movie, but after a few drafts and realizing that it was impossible to play a killer snowman genuinely straight, they settled on making an intentionally B-grade Horror Comedy.
- No Budget: Clearly seen from the special effects in both films. The sequel more so.
- Uncredited Role: With the exception of Scott MacDonald as the title role, none of the voiceover artists are credited.
- What Could Have Been: There was a third movie planned, tentatively titled Jack Frost 3: The Last Coming, which would have taken place a decade after 2, featuring a giant Jack Frost named "Jackzilla" getting loose in a major city. These plans were halted after the tepid response to 2 and the death of Christopher Allport in 2008, but as of 2016, Michael Cooney still has hopes of making another sequel.
