• Creator's Oddball: Cornerstone, the company's attempt at branching out into business software.
• Port Overdosed: The company's games were ported to just about every platform, helped by their games being text-only and the games themselves being abstracted from the hardware using the then-revolutionary concept of a virtual machine, called the Z-Machine. While initially this required hardware specs beyond low-cost home computers (floppy drives and 48KB of RAM, when cassette drives and up to 16KB of RAM were common), increasing computer power caught up with those requirements fairly quickly. Infocom ported their games to over two dozen platforms, including platforms that most other companies ignored at the time such as the ill-fated DEC Rainbow. The Z-Machine interpreters were reverse-engineered by fans and ported to even more platforms, to the point where pretty much everything with a screen and some means of entering text (not necessarily a keyboard) can run them.
